Photos

Cover page
For this page i will be using two images. One image will be one of a band member from the haunted i had previously taken at a concert. This will go well with one of my main cells. The image shows the band member playing the guitar. The angle of the image looks really cool and the concert setting is appropriate.

The next image i need was my main flash image. I liked the idea of having a group picture of the band so i arranged them into a huddled order. I made all of them wear dark clothing and made the lead singer stand out by wearing a leather jacket.I have kept the background plain as i want the band to be the main focus and the viewer not to get distracted by background elements. This image would be the focus of my cover page so i took several different versions.

This first version shows all of the band members looking at he camera except for the lead singer. Their facial expression are serious and reflect a rock attitude however the lead singer looking away looks odd. I think the image would be much more effective if all members of the band were looking at the camera.

This next photo is nearly the same as the other one however all the members of the band are looking at the camera. I think the image is more inviting than the other one and the way one member of the band is leaning on the other one makes the whole scene look a lot more casual and relaxed. However all of them still have a serious expression. i think i will defiantly use this image on my cover.

Contents Page
I will use a lot of images on this page. I will need eight pictures. Five will make up the small collage of bands the will be located on the right hand side of the page. I will use images of groups of my friends to represent bands and single images to represent band members. I will need one image that will be of a live band set that i can use to illustrate my live band feature. I will use an image previously taken at a concert for this.

The last two images i need are single shots of two band members. I need one of someone posing in an interesting way who can represent my new band of the week feature. I found a pre-existing images that i took of one of my friends doing this.

The last image I need is of someone looking as if they are going to be interviewed. I made the person in the image wear glasses to use as a prop so the could slide them down their nose. I then made them smile slightly as this would make them look slightly cheeky and this goes well with the title of the feature (up close and personal). I wanted the image to be close up and focus on the subjects face.

Double Page Spread
For this page i will need three images. The first image i will get is of the band from a previous issue. I will include this as it would be from an interview with the band about writing their new album and this interview is about the finished thing. If a reader had read that previous interview this image will remind them of it. I thought it would be fun to show two members of the band surrounded by paper with supposed song ideas on, but to have them both messing around. I made one of them hold up a drawn picture of a gun whilst the other one help a sign that said help. This picture shows a fun side of the band but also would go well with the theme of that interview.

The next image i want is just a casual one of the band. I thought having the sitting on a settee looking casual and pulling less serious facial expressions would help the reader see a more relaxed side of the band. I would also allow me to right a more comic caption to go with it to help make the reader smile.

The last picture i need is going to be the main focus of the page. I want to get an image of the band sitting round a table as the interview is set at home and this setting would be appropriate. I took two different version of this image with different angles so i could see which one would be more effective.

The angle of this shot is looking down on the band.I think the facial expression are strong and have a typical rock attitude to them the posture of the band isn't right. It makes them all look fed up and i really don't like the way the lead singer is laying on the table.

This image is much better. All members of the band are looking at the camera, their facial expressions are good and their posture and position in the picture is much better. I like the angle as-well you can see all members clearly.
